Zachary Kleinhandler, COO

Overview

Mr. Zachary Kleinhandler joined KLM Equities in 2010 as a VP in charge of acquisitions and development, and over the past 12 years has executed approximately $1.5 Billion in capital market transactions across the country, with a focus on acquisitions and development on the East Coast. In his time at KLM, Mr. Kleinhandler has overseen the development of mixed-use projects in New York and Los Angeles. In recognition of his contributions to the firm, Mr. Kleinhandler was named a partner in 2015 and elevated to the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2017. Mr. Kleinhandler also co-heads a separate investment platform that invests in private investment funds as well as technology startups with a focus on defense, aerospace, artificial intelligence, and workforce retraining.

Mr. Kleinhandler is also General Partner and Developer of Wildflower Farms, an Auberge Resorts Collection property, a 140-acre 65-room luxury resort in the Hudson Valley. Mr. Kleinhandler started his career at Goldman Sachs, before which he received his B.A. from Columbia University. Mr. Kleinhandler is a proud supporter of the Legal Aid Society and was appointed by the Office of the Ulster County Executive as a Board member of The Ulster County Economic Development Alliance and the Enterprise West Advisory Committee. Mr. Kleinhandler also owns a farm in Accord, NY which provides the Ulster County community with assistance through both food contributions and land access for local farmers.
