Overview
Acquired by a KLM affiliate in June 2015, the property contains six retail spaces leased to fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and food tenants including Vince, Hourglass, Free City, and Salt & Straw.
Architecture
The asset works at Venice scale: porous storefronts, outdoor movement, and a neighborhood rhythm closer to a walkable village than a mall.
History
Abbot Kinney has become one of Los Angeles’s most specific retail environments, shaped by independent taste, surf-adjacent culture, and design-conscious visitors.
Cultural context
This is KLM in a warmer key: craft retail, local mythology, and the informal elegance of Venice.
